The Best Way to Kill Mice – Mouse Traps vs. Poisons

Wondering how to kill a mouse? Both mouse traps and mouse poisons are an effective means of dealing with rodents such as mice. It is up to you to determine the best way to kill mice that are in your home.

Using snap mouse traps is economical and makes it easy to remove the mice. Traps are time tested and a top choice for professionals in rodent control. Traps are very alluring to a curious rodent. If enough traps are put out the first night, it is likely you can eliminate your rodent problem within 24 hours.

Traps are non-toxic, making them safe for use around children and pets. They also come in a variety of options, from simple wood snap traps to advanced electronic traps.

Rodent baits are an economical and efficient way to eliminate large rodent populations. Formulations such as blocks and pellets are normally used. Block baits can be mounted in one location to test the effectiveness. Pellets should be used outside of the home, away from children and pets in areas such as burrows and possible nests.

Rodenticides give you the option to eliminate a large population of rodents where traps would be impractical and even impossible. Baits are effective because they use the same types of foods the rodents naturally eat.

Whether you decide to use poisons or traps to handle your rodent problem, turn to Victor Pest for all of your rodent control needs. You can trust Victor Pest to deliver the highest quality, most effective rodent control products on the market today.

I would say you use poison for the bait; that way if he gets away with the
bait, he still dies; so if the rat attempts to get the bait, it’s a catch
22 for it. And also, your kids or animals can’t get to it without you
knowing, because if they touch the trap… they’ll regret it.

One great way to kill Rats. Get a SOS pad and put some cream type of cheese
or peanut butter on it. Rat will explode if it tries to eat the pad.

about the smell when it dies.

Are freaking stupid!? My sister’s baby (who is going to turn 6 this year)
accidently put her fingers near the mouse trap. And guess what happen. Her
finger broke. Peppermint oil is best if you want the rats to go away.

The problem with using poison is the mice/rat can die somewhere inside then
you have to find the corpse or it will stink up your house.

We caught two in a Garbage Can the other day ago.. the first one had been
in the Trash Can for only about an hour or two.. but he tired to get out so
many times he finally just went over into the Corner buried his head and
refused to move… we ended up giving both of the mice to the outside cat
who is semi wild and she LOVES mice… the first mouse ran and she caught
it and ate it, the second mouse just sat there… depressed… he refused
to move very much until the cat grabbed it, he never made a sound…

i like to think that Mouse had a Spartans Bravery.. i wish i had just let
him go now.. he deserved better than that…
